AnyGig Terms of Service
Version: 1.2
Last Updated: 13 February 2026
1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to AnyGig ("we", "us", "our", or "AnyGig"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AnyGig platform, website (anygig.app), mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms that apply to specific features or services. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
AnyGig is operated by Any Gig App, a company registered in the United Kingdom.
2. Definitions
- "Account" means the user account created to access and use the Platform.
- "Performer" means any individual or entity offering live entertainment or event services, including but not limited to vocalists, musicians, dancers, actors, comedians, specialty acts, variety artists, technicians, riggers, event managers, and other live event professionals.
- "Hirer" or "Client" means any individual or organization seeking to book, hire, or recruit Performers for live entertainment or events.
- "Agency" means an entertainment or event staffing agency that uses the Platform to recruit, manage, and book Performers.
- "Gig" means any engagement, booking, performance, shift, or job posted or arranged through the Platform.
- "Payment Protection Service" means the optional, escrow-like payment handling arrangement, available on eligible card bookings and invoices where it is explicitly selected, under which the card payment is captured by Stripe at checkout and the payout to the Performer is delayed until the applicable release conditions are met.
- "Service Fees" means the fees charged by AnyGig for use of certain Platform features, as outlined in Section 7.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
3.1 Eligibility
To use the Platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age;
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts;
- Be located in or operating primarily within the United Kingdom;
- Provide accurate and complete registration information.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials;
- All activities that occur under your account;
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.
3.3 Account Types
The Platform offers different account types:
- Performer Accounts: For individuals or entities offering entertainment or event services;
- Hirer/Client Accounts: For individuals or organizations booking entertainment;
- Agency Accounts: For businesses managing multiple Performers and bookings.
You must select the account type that accurately reflects your intended use of the Platform.
4. Platform Services
AnyGig provides the following services:
4.1 Recruitment Marketplace
A marketplace connecting Performers with Hirers and Agencies for paid opportunities. Performers can browse and apply for Gigs; Hirers and Agencies can post opportunities and recruit talent.
4.2 Professional Invoicing and Payments
Tools for creating and sending branded invoices, accepting bank transfers or card payments, and tracking payment status. Performers retain 100% of the performance fee they quote, because Service Fees are added separately and paid by the Hirer/Client; Performers remain responsible for their own tax, banking and other business costs. Where an invoice is paid by direct bank transfer, the payment is made straight to the Performer's own bank account: it is not processed, held, monitored or protected by AnyGig or Stripe, and the Payment Protection Service does not apply to it.
4.3 Payment Protection Service (Optional)
An optional, escrow-like payment handling arrangement through our payment processor (Stripe), available on eligible bookings and invoices where it is explicitly selected. The card payment is captured by Stripe at checkout and the payout to the Performer is delayed until after successful completion of the Gig and the applicable release conditions. It is not a regulated escrow, deposit-taking or safeguarding service under UK financial regulations, and it is not applied automatically to every booking.
4.4 Performer Profiles and Showreels
Tools for Performers to create professional profiles, upload CVs, showreels, photos, and other promotional materials to attract bookings.
4.5 Act Listing and Direct Booking
Performers can list their acts, allowing Clients to book directly. Confirmed bookings automatically populate the Performer's diary and calendar.
4.6 Agency Management Tools
Features enabling Agencies to post Gigs, recruit Performers, cover shifts, manage multiple bookings, list their own acts, and take bookings from a centralized dashboard.
4.7 Diary and Calendar Management
Automated calendar integration to help Performers and Agencies manage availability and avoid double-booking.
5. User Responsibilities and Conduct
5.1 General Conduct
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information;
- Use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms;
- Treat all users with professionalism and respect;
- Comply with all applicable UK laws and regulations, including employment, tax, health and safety, and licensing requirements.
5.2 Prohibited Activities
You must not:
- Use the Platform to engage in fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive practices;
- Post false, inaccurate, or misleading information about yourself, your services, or a Gig;
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate against other users;
- Attempt to circumvent the Platform to avoid paying Service Fees;
- Scrape, copy, or harvest data from the Platform using automated means;
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
- Impersonate another person or entity;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's functionality or security;
- Use the Platform to solicit or arrange services unrelated to live entertainment or events.
5.3 Performer Responsibilities
Performers must:
- Accurately represent their skills, experience, and availability;
- Attend confirmed Gigs on time and deliver services as agreed;
- Maintain any required licenses, insurance, certifications, or permits;
- Be responsible for their own tax obligations, including self-assessment and VAT registration where applicable;
- Ensure all content uploaded (videos, images, music) does not infringe third-party intellectual property rights.
5.4 Hirer and Agency Responsibilities
Hirers and Agencies must:
- Provide accurate details about Gigs, including date, time, location, and requirements;
- Pay agreed fees in full and on time;
- Ensure the venue or event location is safe and complies with UK health and safety laws;
- Obtain any required licenses (e.g., music licenses, alcohol licenses) for the event;
- Not misuse Performer information or contact details.
6. Prohibited Content and Adult Entertainment
6.1 Adult Content Prohibition
AnyGig strictly prohibits the advertisement, promotion, or arrangement of any services involving:
- Nude, semi-nude, or sexually explicit performances;
- Adult entertainment venues (e.g., strip clubs, adult cabarets);
- Services of a sexual nature or that could be construed as sexual services.
6.2 Payment Processor Requirements
This policy is required by our payment processor (Stripe) and other financial partners. Violation of this policy will result in immediate account suspension or termination and may result in the withholding of funds.
6.3 Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or Gigs that violate this policy, please report it immediately to support@anygig.app.
7. Fees and Payments
7.1 Fee Structure
AnyGig operates on a Performer-first pricing model: Performers keep 100% of the performance fee they quote, because all Service Fees are added separately on top of that fee and are paid by Hirers and Clients. This does not mean a booking is cost-free for a Performer — tax, banking and other business costs remain their own responsibility.
Service Fees for Hirers/Clients (calculated on the performance fee plus any agreed expense reimbursement):
- Ordinary card payment: 3.5% platform service fee, added to the performance fee;
- Optional Payment Protection Service: 5% platform service fee instead of the 3.5%, added to the performance fee;
- Stripe processing fee: on card payments (with or without Payment Protection) an estimated Stripe processing fee of 1.5% + £0.20 is added separately on top of the amount above, and is shown on the invoice before payment;
- Bank transfer payments: no platform service fee and no Stripe processing fee (the Performer receives 100% of the agreed fee, paid directly to their own account, without Payment Protection).
7.2 Payment Methods
AnyGig uses Stripe as our payment processor. Accepted payment methods include:
- UK bank transfers;
- Debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex).
7.3 Currency
All payments are processed in British Pounds (GBP) unless otherwise stated.
7.4 Payment Terms
- Invoices must be paid by the due date specified;
- Late payments may result in suspension of services or additional charges;
- AnyGig reserves the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at the statutory rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
7.5 Refunds and Cancellations
Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances of cancellation and whether the Payment Protection Service was used. See Section 9 for details.
8. Payment Protection Service (Escrow-like Service)
8.1 Nature of Service
The Payment Protection Service is an optional feature, available on eligible card bookings and invoices where it is explicitly selected, that allows Hirers to pay for a Gig in advance. The card payment is captured by Stripe at checkout, and the payout of the performance fee to the Performer is delayed until after the Gig is completed and the release conditions are met. It is not available on direct bank transfers.
Important: This is not a regulated deposit-taking, safeguarding, or escrow service under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 or other UK financial regulations. AnyGig does not hold client money. The funds sit within Stripe's payment infrastructure; AnyGig applies the platform rules and sends Stripe the operational instructions for when a payout, release or refund is made, and cannot access, use or redirect the funds itself. Refunds, chargebacks and payout timing remain subject to Stripe and the card networks.
8.2 How It Works
- Hirer pays the performance fee plus the 5% Service Fee and the estimated Stripe processing fee upfront;
- Stripe captures the card payment at checkout and the funds sit within Stripe's payment infrastructure (not with AnyGig);
- After the Gig is completed, the Performer confirms completion on the Platform;
- The Hirer has 24 hours to raise a dispute through the Platform dispute process;
- If no dispute is raised within that window, the payout is released automatically to the Performer;
- If a dispute is raised within that window, both parties are invited to provide evidence and AnyGig reaches a final platform-level outcome on how the payment is handled, in accordance with the Dispute Resolution Policy.
8.3 Dispute Resolution Process
If a dispute arises:
- The complaining party must raise the dispute within 24 hours of the Gig's completion, where the Platform dispute window applies to that payment;
- Both parties will be given the opportunity to provide evidence (e.g., photos, videos, correspondence, contracts);
- AnyGig will review the objective evidence against the published platform rules and aims to reach an outcome within 14 days of receiving all requested evidence;
- AnyGig is not an arbitrator, judge or adjudicator. Its outcome is final for platform purposes only — it determines how AnyGig instructs Stripe on the payment, and nothing more;
- The outcome is limited to release of the payout to the Performer and/or a refund in accordance with the Cancellation & Refund Policy; AnyGig does not award damages, compensation or consequential losses;
- This process does not exclude or limit your statutory rights, your right to bring court or alternative dispute resolution proceedings, or your right to pursue a chargeback with your card issuer, and missing the 24-hour Platform window does not remove those rights.
8.4 Limitation of Liability
AnyGig's liability in relation to the Payment Protection Service is limited to the administrative facilitation of the payment holding and release process. We are not liable for disputes arising from the quality of the performance, cancellations due to force majeure, or any other matter between Performer and Hirer beyond the scope of the payment process itself.
9. Cancellations, No-Shows, and Refunds
9.1 Hirer/Buyer-Initiated Cancellations
This applies when the hirer/buyer cancels. Performer/seller cancellations or non-attendance are addressed separately.
| Cancellation Timing | Refund to Hirer/Buyer | Amount Payable to Performer/Seller |
|---|---|---|
| More than 14 days before scheduled event start | 50% refund of performer/seller fee only* | 50% |
| 14 days or less before scheduled event start | No refund | 100% |
| On the day of the event or no-show | No refund | 100% |
*Refunds exclude our 3.5% platform service fee (non-refundable, as it covers immediate platform services: access, invoicing, payment processing, administration) and Stripe processing fees (non-refundable per Stripe rules—original fees are not returned when refunds are issued).
For ticket sales/classes/courses (marketplace): Same principles apply—buyer cancellations follow the above; platform fee (3.5%) non-refundable.
9.2 Performer/Seller Non-Attendance or Complete Non-Delivery
If a performer/seller fails to attend or deliver any part of the agreed service/event (solely attributable to them), the hirer/buyer is entitled to a full refund of the performer/seller fee.
This does not include:
- Schedule changes due to venue/event/third parties.
- Shortened/adapted performances agreed on-site or reasonably required.
- Artistic style, quality, or subjective satisfaction.
- Delays outside performer/seller control.
If any part is delivered, the service is deemed fulfilled—no refund entitlement.
In confirmed non-delivery cases:
- Performer/seller fee refunded in full to hirer/buyer.
- AnyGig platform service fee refunded in full.
- Stripe processing fees not refunded (per Stripe policy—original fees retained by Stripe).
AnyGig may investigate and may suspend/remove the performer's/seller's account. Repeated cancellations may result in account suspension or termination.
9.3 Performer/Seller Cancellations Prior to the Event
If a performer/seller cancels in advance (e.g., illness, emergency), the hirer/buyer receives:
- Full refund of performer/seller fee.
- Full refund of AnyGig platform service fee.
AnyGig may assist in finding alternatives but does not guarantee replacements or assume responsibility. Stripe processing fees not refunded.
9.4 Force Majeure
AnyGig is not liable for delays, cancellations, or non-performance due to events beyond reasonable control (severe weather, venue closure, transport issues, government restrictions, power failures, emergencies).
We may facilitate communication/mediation but provide no compensation beyond processing refunds per this Policy.
9.5 Refund Processing Time
Refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days, subject to Stripe's processing times and your bank's policies. Refunds processed via Stripe (to original payment method where possible). For connected accounts (performers/sellers as independent merchants), refunds may require their involvement in Stripe Dashboard. Contact support@anygig.app for issues.
10. Intellectual Property Rights
10.1 Platform Ownership
All content, features, functionality, software, code, designs, logos, and trademarks on the Platform are owned by AnyGig or our licensors and are protected by UK and international intellectual property laws.
